New Batch just attached Saturday. My main goal here is to compare the offspring to the mercury x ARM batch and see if I get any simular offspring except in yellow.

Intriguing cross Rick.
Your discus are talking to you....are you listening
Congrats ... your Albino Pearl Diamond looks different than mine (looks like albino red melon)
thats is because this particual pearl diamond has been used as a foster several times and has gone from yellow to orange in the process. That and i likes color flakes.
Getting fed BBS:
Currently getting fed BBS 4 times a day. Feedings are typically at 6:30 am, 4:15 pm, 7:30 pm, and 11:00 pm. Two 50-60 % water changes a day, one at 5:15 pm and one at 11:00 pm. Water change amount will increase to 80% when I begin with solid foods. I have one HOB filter and one sponge filter in the tank. temperature is set to 82.5. I use 100 % RO water with just enough RO waste water to bring my TDS up to around 70 ppm. PH is typically at or about 7.6-7.8, but I honestly don't monitor this much at all.
If you look closely a few are starting to take a preference to mom and dads food on the right, pecking away at the cube of FDBW in the feeder. Typically within a few days of this, they will all develope this preference and at that time I transition to foods other than BBS.

I apologize for the late update, but photobucket has been having some real issues of late and I could not upload these friday. Starting to see some difference in size, but this is mainly due to the fact I have two different types of offspring from this cross. Different strains grow at different rates and as you can see the pigeon bloods seem to be outpacing the browns. Currently down to 30 fry (I think, hard to get a good count on these little guys).
I was asked to provide details on how I went about choosing the 30, and to be honest with this batch I haven't yet seen any defects yet and the sizes are consistant between types. For this reason the 30 that were left as I was trying to remove some from the tank are the 30 I am going to go with. It is very hard to almost possible to pick the "30" best at this size, and while I do typically cull at this stage I am only looking for obvious defects.

Your fry are not much different about the size ... some of my fry are much bigger than the others
