Default Very soft water / discus minerals

My tap water is very soft, 1-2 KH and 2-3 GH. Some people say it good for discus as it is, others say it's nearly RO water so should add minerals and trace elements. I've been looking at products like these:

    https://www.discusfood.com/en/water-...minerals-1000g

    https://www.seachem.com/discus-trace.php

Is it needed or not and how does it affect the fish? From what I understand, adding these would also increase general hardness but not KH? Would it affect pH?

Johanna, I think your water is fine as is. You havent had any issues with Fish growing and your plants are doing well.

You even had a lotus bloom.

Seems your water is fine as is.

Thanks, I guess you're right. Just want to do what's best for the fish even though there are no visible problems

Agree with Brew. Just make lots of water changes, but don't mess with water chemistry. You should get lots of spawns with such soft water.
At my age, everything is irritating.

They spawn and eggs look fertilized but they always get eaten after a water change before they even hatch. I'm not trying to breed (at least not now.. maybe someday if I get bored and need a project, lol) so it's all right.
