    Default Decapsulated brine shrimp

Has any one used this type of brine shrimp on their discus fry. This is the decapsulated instead of hatching live.

I use them here. I buy them from brineshrimpdirect.com

I find they work best as a transition from live bbs . I don't use them for very young fry as they lack the movement that recent free swimmers are attracted to.

I always soak them a good 15-20 mins to rehydrate then use a turkey baster to blow them into the fry.

Technically they are more nutritious than hatched bbs but they are not as immediately attractive to the fry.
