Default Are wild discus more prone to mortal diseases?

This guy is kind of famous on instagram for his amazing wild discus, and he didn't quarantine 2 new ones, and due to that, all of his discuses are now dying?

Are wilds more prone to this than farm discus?

    Bummer for him
.. Thats a terrible thing to go through.

To answer your question.. Probably no different between wild and domestic. If viral or protozoan...unless the domestics were already exposed to the virus and survived it.

One more example of why quarantine is so.important.

Skipping quarantine? More than it should.

Discus getting wiped out by something unknown? Probably more than we will ever know.

I'm always amazed to find experienced hobbyists who don't have a dedicated quarantine tank in their set up.
At my age, everything is irritating.
