I had moved finally my German Marlboro to the 125 with the Panda and Leopard a few weeks back but he was being bullied by the two. So I moved the Panda to the 90 for a needed time out.

Also if you noticed the BN in the cave his tale is a bit torn, that was me trying to save one of my zebras. I had to pull him by the tail to remove him from the cave that my zebra was. I moved him back to the 90 tank also, he can't coexist with my L046's.
So in the 125 the Marlboro and Leopard are getting a bit friendly. The old man still go it!

They sealed the deal today so let's see what comes of this. I need the Eruption 29 gallon and give them a break. First in a container with RO to see if we have viable wigglers then they can have them back. What will turn out from am German Stendker Marlboro and a Asian Leopard.

Hopefully this old guy still has it, this is the first time since I got him ( 2 + years) that he has spawned. With his partner (RIP) they never got there. When I got them they already were kinda large. I saw them in CTE Aquatics for a long time until I broke down and bought them. Now that he has a younger gal he is motivated. I have the eggs in RO since I don't want to take any chances and this is the best way to see if the are viable and my water doesn't screw them up. Even with my 20%/80% mix I had plenty of calcified eggs with the Eruption pairs failed attempts.

The two females (Leopard and Eruption) will spawn with any of the 3 males. Wile the Leopard spawned with the Marlboro the Panda spawned with the Eruption female. The Eruption male was not to happy. All I need is a fry that will survive.

I hope they make it also I know the Leopard is a good parent since in the community tank she held on to one fry that made it through the high TDS up until the end. The Marlboro this is his first time I don't know what to expect. So far he has an interest in the cone just don't know if he thinks it's a meal or a bunch of kids he is going to care for.

The one thing they don't stay on the cone and with so many it's hard for them to keep up putting them back on the cone. I am hoping for at least a decent grouping to stay alive.
The other pair is now in the spare 29 with their spawn on a pleco cave. If this doesn't work out I see in my future buying discus from the forum.

Chuck, probably not what you want to hear so apologies in advance . I know you have been trying now for months to have a pair to breed. Honestly it probably seems like forever to you. I also know seeing others breed a pair and looking like its easy doesn't help. But its not easy.. it can take alot of trial and error.. ..and patience. ..and patience and patience. You are so close. Don't give up yet. I know Liz will back me up on this and probably others here as well. Our pairs don't always do what we want.. and some pairs never do. The secret is to just keep trying until it works. If this doesn't work out I see in my future buying discus from the forum.
If it was easy discus would be cheap. Hang in there and it will Happen.

Great advice Al! You will get there Chuck! We believe in you!
The pair is still working at it and I guess gathered most but they are almost ready for free swimming. The shot are from the top due that all sides are covered.
