I don't know about earthworm sticks, but my cat at a whole small jar of freeze dried brine shrimp last night. So, if your rainbows need a cat to eat let me know...
Has anyone out there ever fed these? I remember that I did. It was so long ago that I can hardly remember. But my memory does tell me that the fish did like them. I've ordered a bag but they have yet to arrive. If nobody here has had experience with them, I'll let y'all know what my fish think of them. Even if the Discus don't care for them I have other fish that will. My Rainbows, for example, would eat a small dog if I tossed one of mine into their tank. The Mystery snails and Hillstream loaches should take to them, too.

Thanks, but I'll use the dog who ate 50 grams of Al's worms.

My dogs lick the floor if I drop any of Al's worms.

I using the earthworm and other worms mixed ones. They are eaten by everything. But the discus . They may eat some buy nothing like the discus chow or sera bits which they go crazy for. But everything else luv’s them. Rainbows, hillstreams, loaches and even the cherry shrimp. So they won’t go to waste. I add them to discus tanks so all dither fish get them.
I tried earthworm sticks, all my discus ignored them.
I tried earthworm pellets, claiming Discus can grow to 6 inches a year.

These just arrived today. My adult Discus ignore them. Al my contest babies have ignored them except for 1 who likes them a lot. My 5 week old fry like them and as do my 3 month olds. All the non Discus like them. The bottom feeders go nuts for them.

Young juvies are really the easiest to train on new foods.. I find they tend to take most readily to stuff that older discus will .just ignore.
Just keep an eye on your water quality Liz.. and dont leave it in the tank too long.
