OMG, what a backside! It must have taken as long to bathe as all 8 eyes and all the feed on both sides.
You know, these little spiders are adorable in their own grotesque way. Amazing close-up's to boot!
I am Hunter and I going to show you how us spiders take a bath.
DZ9_4020-Edit.jpg
First we clean the eyes and have to be careful to get all eight of them.
DZ9_4026-Edit.jpg
Then we clean the fangs...very important
DZ9_4027-Edit.jpg
Then the feet, first one side
DZ9_4030-Edit.jpg
Then the other side

Almost done except for one thing

This female mantis was my volunteer subject last year, I hope to run into her grand kids next year, I did not see her kids this past year, I really enjoy the mantids as a group. They are elegant and fierce.... anyhow Pats Pics reminded me of my time watching them. Predatory insects and arachnids are just way too cool.

Not to be a killjoy but this is a fish forum and these are jokes, right?
Just wondering?

Dido to what Pat said...
This is a fish forum.. however the homesteader boards are for the homesteaders to post as if it was their personal webspace. They help support the forum with their yearly subscription or help running the forum so there can be sections dedicated to fish. Without these subscriptions these members pay it would be much harder for me to keep the forum going for all of you to enjoy the fish stuff you come here for.
There are also other sections on the board where general photography is welcome as well to make the forum more enjoyable for its members.
Still all things considered.. most of the forum is fish related and has been for the last 20 years. Fish posts are always welcome around the forum..but hey if you get done reading all the fish posts, enjoying the photography is not a bad thing. Or .. start more fish threads and post fish stuff.
