I am losing eggs. I looked around the base and did not see any (in case they fell off). Evidently the parents are disposing them for some reason.

Maybe I am dumb but I got wrigglers! Perhaps my "missing them" was them hatching? I cannot just sit and watch the tank all day long! lol!
I turned off my filter for now. I don't see any attachment but they are busy trying to put them back on the cone. They are both darker.
They are so small! The discus are looking in the sand but cannot tell if they are eating them or what. Anyway, a pic.

Frank, breath lol. The parents are keeping them on the cones or perhaps relocating them. This is normal. They do not go free swimming and attach for a couple days.

You make me smile Frank, this is exciting stuff. Once your head is clear ask yourself what's the next step.

Yea, those were exciting time for me Frank. I am going to suggest you sit back, watch and learn. When I separated the Tefe parents it was a chore but I was able to make it happen in the 230 because then was plenty of room to work and the fish to go. However in a 75 it's a little more tricky and now that the fry are hatching I think not possible to add a partition.
So go ahead and order some BBS. I like Brine Shrimp Direct. Let's see how the parent handle this spawn. There is a good chance this spawn is a lost cause BUT the parents will most likely spawn again and that is what we should plan for.

Thanks for all your help, Pat. The parents have the other discus quarantined in about 10% of the tank. I thought about moving the 4 out into a partitioned 40B (3 domestics on one side, 4 Wilds on the other) but I am not sure about that. Tank is getting messy. I went 3 days without WC and got the eggs but I need to go back to daily at this point. I cut back the canister flow. The parents are tending to the cone quite effectively. Some are at the base of the cone. some still on the cone. Some have been moved around 90 degrees from where they were.
I would like to get the pair and babies to my 40B BB tank eventually. I wonder if I can turn off the overhead aquarium lights and just leave on a nightlight at this point?
I will order the brine shrimp. Any particular ordering recommendations?

I get the 90% from Brine Shrimp Direct and they definitely part of my ram breeding success.
I highly recommend them and one or two of the sieves they sell.
Here is their sieve ; https://www.brineshrimpdirect.com/si...temia-hatching
I buy the lb that used to last me a year . Now I go through 3-4 a year easy .
BSD charges shipping so getting more at one time is worthwhile .If the cost is not too much go for 8 oz, or if you really don't think you will use them get 2 of he 1.75 bottles .
Eggs should last a year in your fridge .
I hatch in 2 liter soda bottles .I use a rigid airline that fits common air hose to reach and stay at bottom of bottle .
No holes drilled no messing with valves .Set the bubbles right and never change them .
I pull the air out ,let the shrimp settle and shells float and use a separate rigid line to reach bottom as a syphon with airline to the sieve .
I hatch 2-3 batches of shrimp everyday for last 3-4 years !
I never need to adjust valves and since the bottle is not attached to anything cleaning it is easy.
You have to rinse the bottle after every hatch so I really don't know how people do it with fancy caps or drilling their own cap?
Very excited for your Frank! So cool to see your pair confirmed. Watching...
