Well, I halted it at 1 hour. The fish did NOT look happy. Water change in process, I'll see how they did.

I've also heard that PP is de-activated by chlorine neutralizer. the method Andrew recomends is very sensible: to use 2% and eat up the organics. then do it again and again, and in the end, you get the flukes. Even if you already oxidized the organics and the flukes, the 2% won't kill discus he says.
He spaces the treatments out over days, and also repeats it.

I found as a small hobbyist, that it was much better but more dangerous to give a huge WC before treatment with PP. So the first dose is getting straight to the mucous. With clean water, you have to be more careful.

PP is also a very effective as a net dip if you have mutiple tanks and a few nets.
I have not really measured the PP for this just make it a dark purple and leave your nets in when you take the net out shake off the excess solution and you are good to go no cross contamination

This is the article that I follow when using PP:

Excellent article and basically follows the discussion on this thread. I use the stock solution with distilled water.

    Be careful of the warning:
NEVER, NEVER MIX THIS STUFF WITH FORMALIN

I think I read something that it should not be mixed with copper sulfate either.
