    They don't like it, but it will not kill them as long as areation is adequate.

    Anyone ever done a PP treatment on Cardinal Tetras before? I'm wondering if the dosage/length of treatment needs to be lighter for smaller fish like that.

    I too have used PP to treat my fish. I prepared a stock solution and add about 100 ml to my 125g grow out tank. The ph of my water is 8.2 and while I was adding the stock solution watched the condition of the fish very carefully. The fish huddled in a corner for a while (about 30 mins) and then behaving near normal. The treatment lasted 4 hours and when nutralized and new water added the fish were ready to eat and were very active.
    This makes me wonder about the caution about using PP in high ph water.
