Very very nice!! Not overly crowded and great contrasts.
I know all to well about the how Vals spread around, part of my weekly maint is pulling out the new Vals that only seem to pop up in areas that are quite difficult to reach. I'm becoming quite skilled at gently tugging them up with a long curved end tweezer.
Pretty much given up hope it will be as I want it by the AGA entry deadline, but will still enter for to gain the feedback frorm the judges.

Very nice, gnatster. Nice combo with the fish. Left plenty of room to swim. Interested to know what you used for the background.
That's the right attitude to have Gnatster. I thought the exact same thing about my tank last year and look what happened. One never knows how things will turn out until the results posted.
thats it im giving up discus. I have several BB tanks and have thought of myself as quite the aquarist. Clearly i have been delusional. Both of the tanks look fantastic. Perhaps i am going to need to get one show tank with some plants :

Do you have a whole tank shot to share with us?
AGA Contest Entry. Here is the aquascape I entered in the AGA Contest. I'm planning a rather radical makeover at this point for a new design, many of the plants you see now will be replaced or repositioned.
that is the nicest tank i ever seen. Want to sell it to me.
After seing ur tank gnatster i am scared to post mine. What is ur secret. LOL blue gravel. I want to change it but i am not sure what to use.
Nornicle, how many gallons hold the tank?
Beautiful! What is the plant in the second picture that the Cobalt is posing in front of?

I'd say that looks like Echinodorus uruguayensis (sometimes known by E. horemanii or "jade sword")Originally Posted by Terrybo

Yes, that it a Echinodorus uruguayensis, actully it's 4 of them. When I purchased the plant it was grown emersed. After all the emersed growth died off the plant sent out 4 small runners and I let them all grow as one massive group.
