Sometimes the male will kick the eggs out.
Well He is on eggs again.. I noticed a bunch outside the cave. Unusual as she always lays in the cave... so.I looked in the cave and sure enough theres eggs in there with the male.
I just pushed the outside eggs in.

Mama Bear
That's what I ended up doing. I didn't pull on him or anything, I just figured he would want to "flee" if I dunked water in/out enough.
At my age, everything is irritating.

Good point. I have rescued hatched, but mostly egg yolk, Panagolus tankei (L398) that were inadvertently dumped out during a large water change.
L398 Fry.jpg
They all developed fine in a breeding box with a piece of well seasoned driftwood. So the parenting was mostly about protection.

Moving Day...
Just emptied the 10 gal breeder of fry. Mom and Dad have the place to themselves for a short while.
Fry are moving to the 75 gal with their older brothers and sisters.
Its kind of funny because I really thought this was a dud batch... turned out quite large.

They look eyeless, I suppose little pink eyes are tough to see on a similarly colored body. I've been shocked by how big the batches of fry are in the three spawns I've had. I'm sure they're heavily predated on in the wild, but it seems like every river in their native range would be a big wiggling mass of bristlenose fry.
