if you can right click click edit, mine opens paint....go to image, stretch/skew and type in 30 in both the top boxes (its a %)....thats usually enough to make it work..very easy to do........
Re: Tips for resizing photos
Here's another freeware program for Windows that lets you resize photos (even batches several photos):
FastStone Photo Resizer

or available from download.com:

Re: Tips for resizing photos
If you are using Vista and have not found a good resizer, here is one that I found recently that works great and is FREEWARE!:
http://www.vso-software.fr/products/...ge_resizer.php
It integrates into the "Explore" function (rt click "Start", left click "Explore") so that if you right click on an image thumbnail, it becomes one of the options pulled up. Will size to any dimension or select from many standard dimensions. Once you select one, it defaults back to that one when used next. Renames the new file with the new dimensions added. And actually bug free so far in Vista.

Re: Tips for resizing photos
I found I could use Microsoft Power Point to change the resolution to allow for the 85MB limit. Select a slide design that you can insert a photo, select slide show from the toolbar, choose resolution, then find a resolution that will decrease the size of the file. Worked as a quick fix for me.

All you have to do with this tool is right click on the photo, and select "Resize Pictures" in the drop down menu. You can resize one or several pics at once. When the size option menu pops up, choose "Small" for posting on the message board. Please note that this will create a new file, and will not alter the original photo.
