Easy peasy ...
Brown/ steam crabs in butter and old bay seasoning. Add butter first.. let it melt and brown crabs lightly. To steam throw in a few ice cubes. .. when crabs are cooked.. add your favorite pasta sauce. I use a marina. Simmer 20-30 minutes. ..
Cook and drain pasta and add sauce and crabs. Serve with a generous amount of napkins. :)
Goes particularly well with a chilled rose or light bodied beer.

Hi Pat, no, we do that while eating .We use lobster crackers and pickers on the shells. Its more entertaining to watch..its quite messy.
This recipe and dish is also what is commonly had in my family the night before christmas. I usually stockpile a bunch of blue crabs now and freeze them for the Holidays.

I use the same basic recipe, Al, using our local Dungeness Crabs. And love it !
