Re: Meteorx Ruby red tank 2
Looking forward to seeing how these end up growing out, given their origin and circumstances. Already surprised that some of them are showing some excellent patterns for being so young.
Re: Meteorx Ruby red tank 2
Its really interesting Jake that this pair of Brian's has thrown some interesting offspring...including a few ring leopards Which I am thrilled to have .
Re: Meteorx Ruby red tank 2
keep up with good work with them.
Re: Meteorx Ruby red tank 2
Like I said on the phone, my water issues seems to have lasted longer than I first thought, and did affect all my fish including rams and plecos, but I think it's finally over. In the 2 weeks before I sent those to you I saw explosive growth from two batches younger than the first ones I sent, as well as the rams. I actually think batch 2 and 3 may have caught up to batch one. What surprises me is that the oldest ones should be much larger but they don't look badly stunted. I hope under your care they will put on some good growth. They already look bigger!
This pair just won't stop spawning! Right now I have about 30 from a spawn in mid September. Last week they laid about 200 eggs but it was in tap water with TDS around 500. Surprisingly a few hatched and are now free swimming. They always have large spawns but I've been caught off guard and hopefully I'll be ready with the RO for the next spawn and possibly get 200 fry at that time, lol...
Of course I'm interested in the finely spotted LSS's but I'd also like to see some more Ring Leopards out of these as well as some finely spotted Leopards...

Re: Meteorx Ruby red tank 2
Guys.. I really didnt like raising the fry in this tank. I ended up pulling them out putting them into a 40 and 55 for grow out.
Returned the tank to plants only for a few weeks.
