Gender Difference Between Wild Greens.
I have been wondering the gender ratio amongst my wild RSGs group. I am hoping to breed them next February which seems to be the magic time I have had wilds breed for me in the past. I prefer to start with young wilds at about a year old but I think the RSGs are older fish. Time will tell. In the mean time I decided to return to some photos I had of my first Tefe spawn back in 2012. In care you are interested https://forum.simplydiscus.com/showt...ild-Tefe-Spawn (warning, long thread).
I happen to have photos of that first spawn where I know the gender of the fish.

Both of these are males fighting over the female.

This video show two Tefe males fighting over the female. She is in the upper left egging them on lol.

I suspect the RSG group might be female heavy but will post pics later to see what you guys think.

Re: Gender Difference Between Wild Greens.
Better female heavy than male heavy.
Re: Gender Difference Between Wild Greens.
Females out number the males in the wild. Usually the most colorful male Discus($$) are picked out leaving the less color(females) thrown back.
