i given up on my battle with water parametrs...im letting it stay at 5.8 ph.....i lowered the contoller to turn off co2 at 5.7....is been dosing for last 9 hrs and the ph hasnt moved from 5.8....so i guess thats a good level for my discus?...if someone could lett me know...i do not add any chemicals to my tank...water from tap comes out at 7.1 than drops to 5.8 once its in the tank...my system is set up so i just drain 3 tanks fill with new water shut off valve for the display let circulate between tanks till it hits 5.8 then open valve to tank....and water change is done....the only thing i think is lowering the ph is this plant tray i got from tropicquarium...i put it in my sump and that adjusts the ph...from what i gathering...40 bucks well spent..
