With all the bare bottom tanks I've seen. I was wondering how you guys control or take care of alge growth in your tanks? Chemicals, alge eaters, scrubbers???
Thank You

I wipe down all interior surfaces once a week with a paper towel.

I have algea and the worst kind black beard algea. I do daily wc and it still grows. I have BN plecos that keep the wood in my tank clean but I have fake plants that I take out once a week to clean. It's a pain in the but.

How many plecos you got? I have 4 in my 110 and they do a pretty dang good job. You feed them too? Makes them a bit lazy when they get algae wafers or anything of the sort.

Yeah my bn plecos do a good job at keeping the wood decor clean I have been keeping them for years. You really should feed your plecos more then just algea just don't over feed them. They don't get the tall fake plants very well at all. If you want it done right you have to clean it your self.
