Hello all,
Bill Palumbo and I are planning one more Chicagoland discus meet up. We were encouraged to put one together a while back and we had really good discussions and a lot of fun. Most of those who were enthusiastic about getting together for this meeting in fact weren't able to make it and so we have decided to try again--we will see if there is a better turn out this time, with the holidays behind us now.
We are looking at Feb 20th, Saturday early evening when the store closes, but need to double check the date. Old Orchard Aquarium on Skokie Blvd in Skokie [2 minutes off of the 94 exit] is going to host us once again. Information for exact time will be coming shortly.
You are welcome to browse the shop, bring plants, fish, etc to swap, give away, or sell--the owners are cool with all of that.
A pot luck sort of snack thing was brought by several of us last time--we had vegies and dip, cheese and crackers, brownies, etc and it was great--we would like to do that for this meeting as well.
If you have an interest in coming, the old die-hards and you newer folks, please think about joining us!!!
