Cleaning Sponge Filters

Hey I was wondering how often you guys clean your sponge filters? I have 2 sponge filters in each of my 55 gallon tanks. I try to rinse out 1 a week, sometimes I forget and it goes over to 2 weeks.

I clean the sponges and the sponge basket every week and the entire filter, box, intake tubes, impeller, etc. every month.

I don't touch the sponge for 2 weeks atleast. I've got one in my 65 gal. with 13 Discus of 4" each. I have other filtration which I clean daily with wc ;)
