Nice fish but that's not what I expect to see when I hear "Rose Reds".

Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nice fish anyway. 8)

I think Jeff calls them Rose Reds or Virgin Reds. What do you think they are?
I plan to cross a male to my female San Merah.
I have 5 different females spawning but no males. I'm hope to get males to cross to a red turq, 2 San Merahs and the Red Passion.

HI Danman

Well..to trace the actual lineage of the Tomato Reds goes way back.

They are crossed from Alencer base fish with Brown Base fish. Essentially they were the first hybrid between those 2 fish. Therefore u will see more wild characteristics in these fish and they tend to grow really huge.

Congrats on your purchase and have fun with those.

Thank you Carol. No offense taken. Never had this type of strain so I'm a bit ignorant. I got 'em because I have two female San Merahs that paired up and both laid eggs on the cone.

Thank you Fshngal. Let you guys know what happens.

Hey Henry. Thank you. What's up with you lately. How's the new baby?
Out of the three leopard that I got from you. 2 are females and 1 male. I have one pair spawning regularly and the other female is paired up with a Redspotted SS and she too is spawning. Both males from the pairs is still trying to get it right. I know patience.... :)

Say . . . I LIKE these tomato reds. Jeff--are you expecting any more in about the next six months? I'm moving up to L.A. and may be recatching the discus bug.
