Hi everybody! I am looking for some Heckel pictures that I may use for printing purposes. I would perfer a giant heckel with the big black stripe, but all other "wilds" are welcomed and could be used. If you have no problem with me using your wild, please post a picture!!! Thanks

Since there is interest, and seeing the beautiful fish in yogi's tanks, I decided to show some of mines. Several of them have been with me only a short time, and are still recovering from the very poor conditions they were kept at the LFS's or former owners. I have not been able to have them breed for me, so again seeing yogi's pictures was great indeed.
A few to follow...
I call this fish flat-top because he holds his dorsal on a strange way. Lots of blue, I think male. What do you think ?

What I have been calling red and blue heckels (my own made-up names). The fish in the lower center has very shredded fins, and is recovering slowly. I think is going to be a particularly nice one.

this is the same red heckel as in the picture contrasting red and blue, but this is its other side. I call this fish "broken-bar" because of the "defect" it has in the pattern of color and in the bar. While a clear flaw, I love the fish and it has a nice personality.

Beautiful fish Paul !!! Do you know their locations of origin ? How long have you had them ?

Thank you Brad. I bet Paul's fish are as nice or nicer and he may get better pictures. Mines have all ben LFS's or bozo's fish tanks recues, and are slowly getting there.

Your right about those pics,but they are the best I can do until I move them from quarintine tank that has a cloudy haze on the tank itself.
These I also aquired from a LFS, so I can't be sure of thier origins.All I know is I thought they looked real good and healthy,and got them for 20$,so I figured I would make them happy and take them home with me.I have had them for about 2 months and am getting ready to move them to better digs. The two pictured together seem to be keen on each other so I will keep my fingers crossed.
When they are moved to a clearer tank I'll take some better pics. They really are pretty fish.
