internal pump vibration

I was cleaning finger print smudges off of the glass of my tank today and felt the glass vibrating from the water pump inside the tank. Just wondering if there could be long term adverse effects from such vibration in the water. It must be a very noisy environment in there. It would be an interesting study to see if level of vibration or noise changes discus behavior, growth or longevity.

I would imagine it would be annoying as heck to live in that type of environment. Does it not have suction cups?

Sounds like there is considerable wear in your pump. Might be time for a new one.
