I got my pair to successfully raise they're fry, It's been a great journey. But now I have a new one, and that's growing out these fry.

I have concerns, I don't think they're growing like they should. I compare mine to other people's and they seem not be on par with theirs. I understand some strains grow different than others, I hope that's the case. But enough chatting here are some pictures & info

They went free swimming on 11/28/13 so they're about a Month old
20g
86f
95% WC daily
feeding 4-6 daily FDBW w/ pro growth & Bill's flakes

Pretty small batch, can I ask why you removed them from the parents already? A few of them appear to be missing the first hard ray or two, but it is hard to tell from the pictures. Fry this size I would still be feeding BBS along with maybe some FDBW's and just starting to introduce some flake. larger batches are much easier to raise, and tend to have better appetites due to competition.

I removed the parents @ 3 weeks, the parent's fins started to look funny and some of their scales started missing. I have about 20 fry, started with about 70+.. maybe that was my problem, I stopped feeding BBS when i removed the parents @ weeks since they were eating other food... I didn't think I would get this far, but so far so good. I don't have much hope for this bath since they seem to be dying one by one each day.. Unfortunate, but parents are still healthy and maybe they can raise again :)

You ended up keeping them after all:).....I'd seriously thought about driving out there to pick them up a few months back...Good luck.

Sometimes PB pairs do not produce much slime. How old were they when you started feeding fresh hatched brine shrimp?

They appear small for their age. Personally, I would not waste the time in raising such a small batch. I would just cull these and use it as learning experience and focus on the next batch.

Brotha, I think I'm done with this breeding game. This was my first and last time, I honestly did not have enough time it seemed to keep up with their needs as far as feeding bbs, it was a great experience but for now I'll let the parents do their thing in my display tank.
