My current DIY project is to make an sump for my 125GA Discus Tank. Since the tank is not drilled and has been up and running for over two yrs, decided to go with an Eshopps PF-1000 HOB Overflow Box, Mag Drive 5 Water Pump, and 20GA L tank for the sump. Well for now can not manage an way to get the tank into the stand because of the stand braces. Just wondering does anyone out there found an safe way to install tank into the stand safely? I was thinking of getting someone to cut out an hole in the tank side?(Don"t have an saw or know how) Project on hold right now. Help please...

Can you do the same thing with a 20 gal high tank? the footprint is the same?

Or option 2, you can drain your 125 half way down to lighten the weight a bit, cut out the center brace you are refering to, then get the tank under and replace the brace and water?

Hmmmm. My tank stand has double-doors on the front and an entirely open back. Both allow me to easily add or remove filters. Do you only have single doors on your stand?
